Speaker Bio
Kayelle is currently the Branch Manager of the Data Access Branch at the Department of Social Services. Kayelle is leading the National Disability Data Asset project in collaboration with colleagues working in the disability stream at DSS, the ABS and the AIHW. Kayelle is also responsible for data access and sharing for DSS. This encompasses all social security reporting and data integration. Prior to joining DSS, Kayelle was the inaugural Chief Data Officer for the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. During her five-year tenure, Kayelle transformed DISR’s data to an internal data service that was recognised by Ministers and peers as leading in the APS. Previously, Kayelle was a Senior Executive Service Officer in the Department of Finance where she worked across the organisation on Governance, data, Public Financial Management, the Federal Budget and ICT. Kayelle holds a Master’s degree in Health and Information Technology.
