Born in Tokyo, Rio Hirai graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Law before joining Fuji TV in 2005. She worked as a caster for Sports!, covering events such as the Olympics and other international competitions through live broadcasts and on-site reporting. She now works as a freelance announcer. In 2023, she launched VIVID CACAO, a premium chocolate brand, where she also serves as a representative director.
