Dr. Maryam Alyammahi is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the UAE University. She holds PhD degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University at USA. She has diverse experiences, including administration, academia, strategy, research, and industry. She has Worked in many strategic projects from technical perspective within UAEU and other governmental and non-governmental entities. She is a speaker in many industrial events and conferences. Research and technical interests include Algorithms and Machine Learning, information retrieval systems, Big Data processing and analysis, Geospatial data, and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). She holds number of journal and conference publications and hold a US patent for inventing a new software program about searching in Big Data. She is Winner of many awards including L’Oréal- UNESCO Award for Women in Science 2019 in the category of AI and Computer Science in the Middle East. Also, the winner of the Best Invention Award in the physical science category of GWU innovation competition, Washington DC, 2014.
