Ann Ackerson is Chief Supply Chain Officer for BAE Systems, Inc. and serves as a member of the Inc. Senior Leadership Team and chair of the BAE Systems plc Global Supply Chain Council. In this role, she leads our efforts to build strong and resilient supplier relationships to maintain a sustainable supply chain across our international business to enable our people to deliver for our customers. Ackerson has more than three decades of global supply chain leadership experience working for multi-billion dollar manufacturing and services companies. Before joining BAE Systems in May 2020, she was senior vice president of Global Supply Chain Management for Freeman, a privately held firm, after spending more than five years as Chief Procurement Officer and vice president Global Supply Chain Management with Dresser-Rand, a Siemens Business. Previously, Ackerson held Supply Chain roles of expanding leadership responsibilities with Honeywell, Boeing Satellite Systems, and Case Corporation (now CNH Global) among others. Ackerson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in transportation and logistics from Iowa State University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the Institute for Supply Management Thought Leadership Council, and she also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
