Paulo Pires is the Technology and Innovation Director (CIO) at Vale, where has been working for 4,5 years, overseeing IT, OT, and Innovation. He serves on the Board of Directors of ANPEI for the 2024/25 biennium. Previously, he held leadership roles at Embraer, including Director of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for global industrial processes and technologies. He also led the Embraer Engineering and Technology Center USA for five years, focusing on executive and commercial aviation. His career includes roles as Automation Manager at Embraer and Quality/Product Development Manager at Eutectic Castolin. He was a Board Member at Embraer Portugal (2019/20) and a pro bono advisor to Engineering Deans at University of Central Florida -UCF e EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University (2016–2019). In 2024, Forbes recognized him as one of Brazil’s top 10 CIOs. With over 30 years of experience, his expertise spans Industrial Operations, Engineering, and Technology.
