Betsy Greytok is Associate General Counsel, Responsible Technology with IBM’s Office of Privacy & Responsible Technology. She leads a team that is responsible for steering IBM’s technological advancements and organizational culture to echo its core values and the long-standing tradition of trust that has underpinned IBM's storied legacy for more than a century. Betsy is also Co-chair of IBM’s AI Ethics Board and a member of the Steering Committee for Notre-Dame-IBM Technology Ethics Lab. Prior this role, Betsy was Associate General Counsel for IBM’s foundation model business, providing cross-brand, global support for that business, including data acquisition, R&D, and legal issues related to distributing and using foundation models and generative AI. Betsy joined IBM in 1999 after working in Litigation at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP. She has provided legal support for various IBM practices & offerings including Channel Sales, Cloud & Cognitive Systems, and IBM Infrastructure. She holds an MBA and JD from The University of Texas.
