I find the current result surprising given the ample range of RPA solutions that are low code/no code. Perhaps it’s the integrations with legacy systems as part of the RPA workflow that requires the most custom code.

One issue I've encountered with RPA is the ROI, as others have mentioned. To recover true ROI requires not only a financial investment from organizations but also a mindset shift, that some leaders aren't prepared for.

RPA only makes sense in legacy UI. For modern apps, with modern interfaces RPA data integration using your choice or programming language or integration framework has more value.

Not surprising to see COST as the #1 factor - this is the primary blocker for MOST Tools when doing an ROI needs analysis. This survey might have been more valuable if it asked the same question but said "what is the next highest factor beyond pricing..."
