Do you think the potential downsides of GenAI/LLMs currently outweigh its potential benefits, broadly speaking?

Gen AI will bring new perspectives and benefits specially to medium size companies, but they will also face challenges with threat actors using the same technology 24/7. Security will be more important than ever in this new era of Gen AI.  

It depends upon the use case. Asking whether a tool is good or bad, is difficult to answer. For example, is a scalpel good or bad. It depends upon the use case, who is wielding the scalpel, the design of the scalpel and whether all of the other factors are in line with the intended use.
