The purpose of the metaverse seems different and varies by industry. Gaming platforms like Fortnite and Roblox are already well-established. Food and beverage companies, such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi, are partnering for marketing opportunities in this space. The education and travel industries have also adopted it. However, finance and healthcare are still navigating challenges around data security, confidentiality, and privacy policies. Meanwhile, the real estate sector is taking advantage of the metaverse's potential.

The metaverse is not dead. It is right where it is expected to be from a hype adoption perspective. Innovation is driven primarily by use case failure. This is where the metaverse is right now. I expect growth as use cases become more relevant.
