                    Director of Privacy and Information Security (CISO) – Secretariat for Digital Government, Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (Brazil)
Leonardo Ferreira serves as Director of Privacy and Information Security (CISO) at Brazil’s Secretariat for Digital Government (SGD), where he leads the national PISP program in collaboration with 255 federal entities to enhance digital maturity, resilience, and crisis response across 4,500+ services accessed by 167 million users. He has led cybersecurity efforts for major global events such as G20, BRICS, and COP30, and has developed projects with the US, UK, UAE, South Korea, Spain, Israel, and others. He has worked on projects with the IDB, World Bank, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Gartner, and top consultancies. A professor and international speaker, he advises national councils and executive boards on cybersecurity, privacy, and crisis management. Leonardo holds a master’s degree in Applied Computing and has over 30 years of experience in ICT and digital security. His academic background includes EsCom, EsFCEx, UFPR, and the University of Brasília (UnB).
