Product(s): Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP
Overall Comment:"My overall experience with Oracle Fusion ERP is that it’s a powerful but complex platform. Positives: It has excellent true integration across Financials, Procurement etc., providing a single source of truth. It has strong automation and eliminates manual upgrades which is a great time saver."
It has global scalability features - The system supports multiple ledgers, currencies, languages and local/tax regulatory requirements which means one can rollout standardized global processes while easily remaining compliant with specific local laws (IFRS or US GAAP). It has built in Risk Management & Compliance - The product has embedded risk management and compliance tools which automates monitoring of financial controls and enforces SOD (Segregation of Duties). This simplifies the external audit process by ensuring adherence to standards like SOX/ICFR. It offers unparalleled integration - The entire suite (Financials, Supply Chain, EPM, Projects etc.) is built on one unified data model which immediately kills the problem of data silos and reconciliation between different systems.
Reporting Complexity - Getting customized data out of tools like OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) is not intuitive and creates bottlenecks for self-service analysis. High Cost & Rigidity - It's an expensive investment, and the system resists customization. Implementing non-standard processes is both difficult and costly. Mandatory Quarterly Testing - Constant SaaS upgrades require continuous resource allocation for testing and managing internal changes every three months.
