For over 15 years, Remona has actively shaped her career at Rio Tinto, progressing from managing the Richard Bay Mineral’s local help desk and site support services in South Africa to looking after the technology that supports critical business processes globally. Now based in Brisbane, Remona leads a dedicated team that builds and continuously improves Rio Tinto’s digital backbone, which spans everything from providing laptops, phones, networks and cloud services to enabling autonomous haul trucks to run in mining pits across the Pilbara. In Remona’s role, no two days are the same whether dealing with critical service issues, overseeing technology transformation projects or fostering closer partnerships with key vendors.
