Speaker Bio
Specializing in network security and information system security, he obtained a Doctor of Engineering from Yokohama National University in 2005. He then joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), where he contributed to the research and development of the NICTER incident response center. Since 2008, he has been leading cybersecurity research and development at Yokohama National University. His achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Science and Technology (2009), the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award for Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration (2016), and the Information Security Culture Award (2017). He has also served as an expert committee member for the National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

This presentation delves into our participation in the ""Advanced Cyber Defense and Analysis Capability Enhancement"" project, selected under the Key and Advanced Technology R&D through Cross-Community Collaboration Program (K Program) led by the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry to foster critical technologies in economic security.
We introduce our efforts in collecting and analyzing cyber threat intelligence and assessing risks. This project enhances the accuracy of threat trend and risk assessment by integrating dark web, Telegram, Discord, and other social media monitoring key platforms for cybercriminal activity into existing cyber attack observation mechanisms.
