Carolien is the Supply Chain Lead at MSD, where she oversees global planning and international launch teams. She holds a degree in Food Technology from Wageningen University and began her career in manufacturing, accruing extensive experience in Quality, Lean Six Sigma, Animal Health production, as well as vaccine production and packaging. As Plant Manager for two of MSD’s principal facilities, Carolien successfully led significant transformations, elevating both plants to state-of-the-art production and packaging operations.
After a successful tenure in Operations, she transitioned to the Supply Chain sector, initially serving as the Lead for the Supply Chain Management Centre of Excellence. She then advanced to head Supply Chain Operations for Europe and Latin America. In her current role, Carolien integrates her manufacturing and supply chain expertise to cultivate a planning organization focused on purpose, individual growth, and diversity, equity, and inclusion, while driving further digitalization and automation of the planning and launch processes.
