Ulrika was appointed Head of Manufacturing Technology Strategy on January 1st, 2025. In her role, she is accountable for the design and deployment of Operations Technology Platform Operating Model and implementation of new and innovative Technologies supporting the strategic framework Operations 2030.
Ulrika has more than 30 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical technology, manufacturing, quality control and quality assurance. She has been with AstraZeneca for 29 years in various global and Swedish roles supporting areas like Manufacturing, Advanced Control Strategies, Real Time Release, Quality by Design, Quality Management and Lean strategies. She is also an eligible Qualified Person. Her most recent role was Site Lead Oral Solid Dosages in Sweden Operations, leading ~1000 people supporting manufacturing and packing of granules, tablets and capsules to a volume of 11-13 billion doses annually.
In addition to her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering she has also studied Business Economics, Manufacturing Professionalism Programme at Warwick (UK), Industrial Pharmacy and General Pharmacology.
