Interface is not very user friendly. Certain features, such as vacation time, do not seemed to be configured optimally. Certain buttons are not intuitive, and it takes users some time to figure out how to navigate.

Does not seem to work well for a large based enterprise. The platform is clunky and not intuitive for users.

The UI is a bit clunky, and it isn't very customizable. The universal search feature is nice; however, many of the Workday tasks are unintuitively labeled, so unless you know the task name, finding what you're looking for can be a headache. Workday usually has two or more ways to navigate to each task, but sometimes even manually navigating to a task can be difficult because of the task location and the number of steps involved to reach it. Therefore, employee training of Workday navigation is a must. 

Some tasks also need to be much more streamlined (e.g. on some, you have to click "edit" next to each task item, which takes too much time). Overall, Workday is better than our past solution, ADP Workforce Now, but it could be a lot better.

Workday as a solution comes with an approach of global process standardisation & harmonisation, which might result in optimisation of workforce within the organisation.
But this purely depends on the maturity of the internal organisation and its readiness towards the adoption and change management.
A combination of the above two factors a company as customer should understand and evaluate before starting such a project.
Within our organisation this was the challenge that we faced.

Reduced manpower resource and ability to give the information required by both employees and managers on their personnel files, leave management, job details, etc related to HR.  
However there were some issues which should not occur such as not having every country in the globe uploaded in the system where employees can update their government ID such as passport details - this should have been done by the vendor without the need for us to inform them to get it up. Also after having it launched in the company for almost 1 year there are still certain applications that is not working

Takes a while to get used to the new system.  Training is of average quality.  Migration/consolidating to use the broad features takes time, however this is more of a function of our current system than Workday.
