Shingo Kawabata joined TOPPAN Holdings Inc. (Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. at the time) in 2008. Initially involved in the planning, development, and implementation of the group's factory system, from 2018 he was responsible for developing elemental technologies and DX solutions for manufacturing. Since 2023 he has been working as a team leader on establishing generative AI technology, supporting service development, and transforming work styles using advanced IT technologies.

TOPPAN is actively engaged in creating new value by leveraging AI technology. In this presentation, I will cover the processes used in the evaluation, adoption, utilization, and deployment of cloud-based generative AI services, and the outcome of developing our own proprietary generative AI services, including customized open-source LLMs, which we have been working on at the same time. I will also explain, using specific examples, how generative AI helps to enhance efficiency and expand knowledge within the company, present our vision for using generative AI in the future, and discuss the practical steps that we aim to take in order to get there.
