Irma Fabular is a Vice President and Team Manager within Gartner’s High Tech and Invest (HTI) Practice, with responsibility for insights focused on vertical markets. She leads the Industry Tech and Markets team, for high-tech product leaders and services executives driving growth across key industries, including automotive and transportation, energy and utilities, government, healthcare, manufacturing, national defense, and retail.

Her team’s research helps leaders translate AI driven disruption into durable competitive advantage by:

• Anticipating how AI and digital innovation are reshaping industry value chains

• Identifying where and how competition is converging or fragmenting

• Assessing vendor capabilities, market economics, and risks in the AI vendor race

• Defining differentiated product and go to market strategies

• Enabling informed decisions about where to invest, how to compete, and how to shape markets

Previously, Ms. Fabular led research teams covering U.S. federal, state, and local governments, as well as global governments and national defense. In those roles, she oversaw executive research agendas for CIOs, AI leaders, and technology and service providers, with a focus on mission critical, regulated, and high stakes markets.

Previous experience

Prior to Gartner, Ms. Fabular held IT leadership and operational management positions supporting law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services, healthcare, software product development, medical device manufacturing, and oceanographic research. In those positions, she designed, developed, implemented, and managed IT solutions for 911 emergency communications and dispatching, enterprise resource planning, human resources and payroll, financial management, and patient care management.
