Zachary Ginsburg (MA, RIMS-CRMP) is Senior Director, Analyst in Gartner's Assurance Practice. Zach covers enterprise risk management (ERM) on behalf of Chief Risk Officers, other ERM leaders, and C-Suite leaders that lead or oversee ERM programs, such as Chief Financial Officers, General Counsels, and Chief Audit Executives.
Zach helps ERM leaders improve ERM processes and position ERM programs for maximum contribution to organizational objectives. This includes enterprise risk assessment, enterprise risk analytics and quantification, risk appetite and monitoring, ERM-related corporate governance (e.g., ERM frameworks and policies), starting new ERM programs, application of technology (e.g., AI) to ERM, risk coordination/aligned assurance, risk reporting to internal stakeholder groups, communicating the strategic value of risk management, and more.
His current research covers maximizing ERM's strategic value and value to stakeholders, establishing and communicating an ERM mandate, strategic stakeholder communications, and enterprise risk quantification. He is also currently the agenda manager for ERM content on gartner.com.
Zach previously led multiple Gartner research portfolios on behalf of heads of ERM and Chief Audit Executives. Before joining the Assurance Practice, he led research initiatives in Gartner's IT infrastructure and operations research team. He has diverse experience in risk-related consulting fields.
