Andres Garcia-Rodeja is a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner, specializing in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. He partners with Data and Analytics leaders to define strategy and build robust portfolios, covering AI strategy, business value realization, operating models, organizational design, AI-ready data, decision intelligence, generative and agentic AI, as well as analytics and AI governance and literacy.
Andres guides organizations in leveraging data and AI for measurable business outcomes, offering an end-to-end vision of the data, analytics, and AI ecosystem. He has a particular focus on bridging the gap between business objectives and technical capabilities through Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Layers, and product-oriented delivery models.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Garcia-Rodeja was Director of the Data & AI Business Unit for Spain and Portugal at DXC Technology, where he also led the Data & AI Pre-sales function for Europe and UK&I. In this role, he defined business unit strategy and portfolio, drove business development, and managed the P&L.
Previously, he served as Head of Data and Analytics at INDITEX—the parent company of several global fashion brands, including Zara—where he led a large team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers. He focused on transforming data into actionable insights, spearheading the shift to a near real-time, federated data product model, and enabling data-driven decision-making worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Garcia-Rodeja spent nearly 18 years at Hewlett Packard, holding roles such as Director of the Analytics Center of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Lead for Spain. There, he led data and analytics projects across the healthcare, retail, and public sectors.
