Previously, Ms. Shahidi worked in management consulting. Specifically, she prepared international benchmarking reports for government clients on transportation infrastructure, including one on deep-water port competitiveness and one on the economic development best practices of airport metro areas. She also managed and executed high profile events for Fortune 500 chief executives, requiring budget oversight, contract negotiations, supervision of one dozen vendors and support staff, and selected agenda topics and discussion leaders.
