Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Birgi Tamersoy served as a Principal Key Expert at Siemens Healthineers. He oversaw a multi-year, multi-business-line Artificial Intelligence program that resulted in several first-in-class AI products. His responsibilities included program and team management, research and development, system architecture, risk management, and regulatory compliance. He developed and deployed multiple system-critical AI components. Dr. Tamersoy holds more than 20 granted patents and has over 25 additional patent applications. He has given more than 20 invited talks on the topic of AI in healthcare at public and private events in seven countries.
