Cian Ó Móráin is a Gartner expert focused on Talent Strategy and Organization Design. Core areas of focus include setting a talent strategy, talent function design and management (including skills-based approaches), succession management and talent reviews, organization design, and career development and mobility. He also has expertise relating to change management, and began his career at Gartner supporting clients on recruiting topics. Prior to joining Gartner, Cian spent 6 years working at Holker Watkin, a boutique executive search firm, that helped blue-chip corporations and private equity firms across the globe hire the best strategy talent. His research is also informed by his M.Sc. in Behavioral Science from the London School of Economics.
As a Principal at Holker Watkin, Mr. Morain was responsible for leading end-to-end executive search delivery for our C-Suite clients. This included advising his clients on profiles sought and labor market dynamics, acting as a trusted advisor to in-demand talent, devising search strategies and managing small teams in the delivery of those searches. His work spanned permanent retained searches and interim roles.
