Darin Stewart is a Research Vice President in Gartner's Software Engineering and Applications practice. Dr. Stewart advises digital business leaders and technical professionals on how to create, manage and utilize knowledge resources. Research areas include generative AI, knowledge management, public and private search, text analytics and natural language understanding. He is the author of numerous publications including the book "Building Enterprise Taxonomies."
Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Stewart was Director of Research and Collaboration Systems for Oregon Health & Science University. He was responsible for research and research administration information systems, web strategies and intranet initiatives. He has been a member of the Applied Information Management faculty at the University of Oregon since 2004. He has served in information management leadership roles for a variety of organizations ranging from internet startups to major universities
