Emily Tan is Director of Research at Gartner specializing in Cybersecurity for CIOs. For the past 4 years Ms Tan has been a lead contributor of research into security outcome driven metrics for CIOs. Her work on cybersecurity as a business decision helps organizations prioritize and invest in cyber through protection level agreements (PLA) and outcome-driven metrics (ODM).
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Tan spent 13 years in journalism across Malaysia, Hong Kong and London and was most recently Global Technology Editor for leading global advertising and marketing trade publication Campaign.
