Joseph Provenza is a Vice President Analyst in Gartner's Midsize Enterprise Business and Technology Insights practice. A former CIO and technology manager with more than 30 years of experience in a variety of industries, Mr. Provenza helps MSE CIOs identify actionable methods to optimize operations, freeing resources to reinvest in higher value business activities. His research focuses on IT operations, organizational structure, cost optimization, IT strategy and IT leadership.
Mr. Provenza designed and built the technology operation at Flagler College as their first head of IT. That included the network infrastructure, as well as the application and data infrastructure. He was a member of the President's Cabinet and a senior leader in the organization.
