Additionally, Dr. Murphy covers strategy, program management, executive communication, and policy.
Dr. Murphy was a Senior Principal Facilitator on Gartner's CISO Coalition and a cybersecurity researcher prior to becoming an analyst. He used this time to help hundreds of security leader clients collaborate to develop best practice solutions to major risk management challenges, such as: program strategy, collaborating with business partners, cyber risk quantification, communicating the value of cybersecurity, board level metrics, and many other topics.
Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Murphy was a researcher at George Mason University (an R1 research institution based outside of Washington, D.C.)
