Julian Sun is a Gartner VP, leading a team of analysts specializing in data, analytics, and AI. His clients range from Chief Data & Analytics Officers (CDAOs) to team members such as the Heads of Analytics and AI and Head of Data Management, predominantly in the APAC region. His team covers a wide array of topics such as databases, analytics, business intelligence, data science, artificial intelligence, and D&A staffing. He is also leading the Gartner China Expansion Program. Mr. Sun advises D&A leaders on crafting business value-driven analytics architecture. His research involves composable D&A, metrics layer, headless BI, collaborative intelligence, and generative analytics experience. Before joining Gartner, Mr. Sun worked for Tableau and was responsible for Presales and customer success of most strategic accounts in APAC. He was also the startup member for Tableau Greater China team. Before that, he worked in EMC headquarter in the U.S., focusing on data science initiative of customer success.
