Kevin Knox is a Practice Vice President for the Tech Services Leaders practice in the Technology and Service Provider department of Gartner's Research and Advisory.
Prior to rejoining Gartner, Mr. Knox held a number of executive-level positions at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where he was primarily responsible for the commercial and enterprise business. During his time at AMD, Mr. Knox had the opportunity to consult directly with numerous enterprise and governmental accounts. He also worked on a number of strategic initiatives for the company, including power and cooling, virtualization, and hardware manageability, and was instrumental in helping secure the largest end-user installations.
Before AMD, Mr. Knox had his first opportunity with Gartner where he was a Vice President and Research Area Director in the Personal and Distributed Technology group. As an Analyst, he focused primarily on PC hardware and procurement but advised across a wide range of computing topics.
Prior to that, Mr. Knox held IT development and operation roles with Pepsi, Hertz and PPG Industries.
