Lloyd Jones is a VP Analyst working with utilities across electric, gas and water. Digital technology is pervasive requiring CIOs to partner with CxO's to both perform and transform to make utility business models resilient in the face of volatile commodities.
An example is energy pivoting from Energy-Always-On to Energy-Is-Available. My research focus is on intelligent operations across the OT / IT boundary to leverage technology to orchestrate resources that create business value both above and behind the meter.
My transform research covers the impact of the energy transition, the evolution from digital apathy towards intelligent operations, and the changes needed across strategy and business models. My perform research includes technology optimization and modernization, operational technology, asset management and optimization.
Energy and Utility leaders can use this research to create sustainable organizations that navigate the energy transition, deliver on their net zero commitments while delivering affordable, available and acceptable products.
