Luke Ellery is a VP Analyst in Gartner's Procurement, Asset and Vendor Management team, helping clients with IT procurement strategy, transformation, operations and IT vendor risk management. Mr. Ellery is focused on research that addresses IT procurement organizational design and strategy, IT risk management including AI and Gen AI cost and risk optimization, vendor management and contract negotiation.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Ellery led technology sourcing for a large Australian bank, involving the definition of the sourcing strategy, the procurement of technology and services, and management of large transformation programs involving outsourcing, multisourcing and cloud computing (SaaS, IaaS, aaS).
He has extensive experience working with CIOs and senior leaders, regulators, and major technology organizations. Previous roles include vendor management, relationship management, and project and program management within the banking, services and primary production industries.
