Margaret Moore Porter is the Chief of Research and Distinguished Vice President for Audit and Risk Practices at Gartner. In this role, Ms. Porter oversees content planning and strategy for Chief Audit Executives and Heads of Enterprise Risk Management, guiding research teams to deliver actionable insights that empower executives to make informed decisions, transform their functions, and adapt to the evolving risk landscape.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Porter spent over a decade advising Chief Audit Executives at leading institutions on topics such as risk assessment, audit planning, audit committee reporting, talent management, and leveraging technology. She has contributed to the development of numerous research deliverables and diagnostics designed to help CAEs identify opportunities for improvement and advance their departments’ and teams’ capabilities.
Prior to joining CEB, now Gartner, Ms. Porter worked at Korn Ferry where she developed executive search strategies and sourced candidates for leadership positions within the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
