Margaret Moore Porter is the Managing Vice President, Advisory for the Audit, Risk, and Strategy Practices at Gartner. In this role, Ms. Porter leads the North America Audit Advisory team and contributes to the development of research, benchmarks, and tools to help Chief Audit Executives (CAEs) make informed business decisions. Ms. Porter has spent more than a decade advising CAEs of leading institutions on issues such as improving risk assessment and audit planning, audit committee reporting, talent management, and the use of technology. She has also contributed to the development of numerous research deliverables and diagnostics to help CAEs identify areas for improvement and mature their capabilities. She has deep expertise in audit functional strategy development and audit committee reporting.
Prior to joining CEB, now Gartner, Ms. Porter worked at Korn Ferry where she developed executive search strategies and sourced candidates for leadership positions within the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
