Sr Director Analyst

Matt Moorut is a Senior Director-level analyst for Gartner, based in London, UK. In his role, he advises CMOs and their teams on strategic digital marketing topics, including email marketing, search marketing, AI and omnichannel strategy development and marketing technology trends. Previous experience

Mr. Moorut previously served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Charity Digital, a social enterprise that provided CSR consultancy and route-to-market for Google, Facebook, Amazon and other tech firms, while offering education and access to digital marketing and IT tools to c.40,000 nonprofits. In this role, he ran a digital publishing platform and was responsible for budgeting, martech and partner strategy, sales and marketing strategy and execution.

While working for L2 (acquired by Gartner in 2017), he delivered presentations to C-Suite leaders at retail businesses including Swarovski, P&G, Ralph Lauren and Chanel. He produces research specific to the retail industry and supports clients with insights and analysis on retail-specific marketing topics including budgets, consumer trends, and digital marketing best practices.

He has years of experience in content marketing having run a online news site with 50,000 B2B subscribers, for which he managed content planning as well as sales and marketing. He has an expert knowledge of SEO, website design, email marketing, social media marketing, digital transformation (including agile project management), data management (GDPR) and martech.

He also has experience in strategic management, budgeting and people/project management. He currently serves on the audit and risk committee and the board of the UK charity, Royal Voluntary Service.
