Matt Moorut is a Senior Director-level analyst for Gartner for Marketers, based in London, UK. He leads Gartner's Industry Marketing Strategy and Execution research and serves as the chair for Gartner's North American Marketing Symposium/Xpo.

Mr. Moorut previously served as the CMO of a social enterprise that supported 40,000 nonprofits with access to numerous digital marketing and IT solutions and training. In this role, he ran a digital publishing platform and was responsible for budgeting, martech and partner strategy, sales and marketing strategy and execution.
Mr. Moorut was the Chief Marketing Officer for Charity Digital, which provided CSR consultancy and route-to-market for Google, Facebook, Amazon and other tech firms, while offering education and access to digital marketing and IT tools to c.40,000 nonprofits.
He has years of experience in content marketing having run a online news site with 50,000 B2B subscribers, for which he managed content planning as well as sales and marketing. He has an expert knowledge of SEO, website design, email marketing, social media marketing, digital transformation (including agile project management), data management (GDPR) and martech.
He also has experience in strategic management, budgeting and people/project management. He currently serves on the board of the UK charity, Royal Voluntary Service.
