As a Director, Analyst on the Analyst Relations team in the Technology and Service Providers (TSP) practice, McKenzie Smith supports Analyst Relations (AR) leaders - and other roles responsible for analyst relations - in organizations of all sizes to more effectively drive organizational impact through AR activities. She also supports Startup and Tech CEOs, Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs), and product marketers with messaging, positioning, differentiation, and storytelling. She regularly reviews and provides feedback on marketing and sales materials, including websites, presentation decks for first sales meetings, social media, and other prospect-facing collateral.
She began her career at Gartner as a member of the Gartner Sales Advisory team, assisting Heads of Sales, Heads of Sales Enablement, and Heads of Sales Operations. She learned transferable advisory skills in the inaugural Gartner Advisory Talent Lab, an accelerator for high-performing early-career employees, and completed the program in December 2020. From 2016 to 2019, she held several roles at hyper-growth green tech startup Arcadia Power (now Arcadia). Before 2016, she worked in policy-adjacent research roles at two think tanks in Washington, DC.
