Mike Shevlin is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner Research, where he is a member of the public-sector team with a concentration on public safety and justice. He has an extensive background in law enforcement and law enforcement technology and covers the topics of integrated justice, core public safety systems, emerging technologies impacting public safety, and industry vendors and strategy.
Before joining Gartner, Mr. Shevlin served as CIO for the Pennsylvania State Police for almost a decade. He came to the CIO role from the business, having been an Air Force Security Police officer, a municipal police officer, and a municipal chief of police prior to working in public safety planning and information technology for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
