Sam Berndt is a VP, Team Manager in Gartner's Supply Chain, Procurement, and R&D Functions. He helps researchers lead long-form studies and research-driven content for executives.
Mr. Berndt provides study leadership on a variety of supply chain topics (talent, strategy, technology investments) through in-depth interviews with leaders, data collection, and model development to ensure that Gartner's advice is supported by robust analysis. His current research focus is on cost management and workforce succession planning.
Mr. Berndt worked as a research director for the world's largest retail trade association and as an economist providing policy analysis and economic impact modeling of large U.S. federal regulations.
