Sean Kumar works with Chief Strategy Officers, CFOs, CIOs, other C-suite executives and their teams to help them solve problems by sharing cutting edge research and best practices from leading companies.
Mr. Kumar advises clients on all aspects of strategy formulation, strategic planning, and the management of the strategy corporate function. He has facilitated numerous client on-site sessions on various aspects of strategic planning including sessions with ELTs and the CEO. He has experience reviewing a broad range of documents, providing helpful feedback, and has helped numerous executives prepare for successful offsites and board presentations.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Kumar advised senior military officials and business clients on complex legal, operational and strategic issues as a lawyer. He spent five years in private practice working in corporate/civil litigation before joining the United States Army as an active duty Judge Advocate. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, serving as the general counsel to the commanding general of a training division. He earned his MBA from UVA's Darden School of Business in May 2019. Mr. Kumar has also served on numerous boards and commissions, presently serving as Chairman of the Board for a large non-profit in the D.C. area.
Mr. Kumar advised senior military officials and business clients on complex legal, operational and strategic issues. He litigated business cases and criminal jury trial cases at Court Martial.
