Tony Harvey is a Vice President, Analyst at Gartner. Tony assists clients with evaluation, planning and delivering business value from technology investments. He provides strategic advice on directions for datacenters and infrastructure, AI and edge computing as well as advising on RFPs, and vendor selection. He also provides vendors with advice on product requirements, product positioning, market messaging and competitive analysis.

My research areas include the impact of AI on datacenters and energy production, the impact of the Broadcom acquisition of VMWare, alternative hypervisors and operating systems, and emerging technologies impacting server architectures, including processor architectures, memory technologies and interconnects.
