Brendan Williams is a Senior Director Analyst within Gartner's Technology and Service Provider organization. Mr. Williams's primary research focus is on business and technology consulting, including areas like digital strategy, sustainability, and innovation consulting. He works with consulting leaders and other tech service leaders on market strategy, competitive positioning, messaging and differentiation, and developing value propositions and service offerings for target buyer personas. Mr. Williams also works with providers of digital product engineering services that help organizations innovate and develop smart, connected products and services in the context of physical-digital convergence. Recent research has focused on business model impacts and market strategy implications of Generative AI (GenAI) and Agentic AI for consulting and other services; changing delivery models and pricing models related to asset-based consulting and managed services; the impact of geopolitical and macroeconomic developments such as tariffs on services markets; competitive differentiation; and market entry and expansion strategy. Mr. Williams works with organizations of all sizes across all major industries and geographic markets.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Williams built and managed a research line focused on providing insights into the emerging market for digital consulting services at a boutique research house. He has over 20 years of experience in creative, analytical, and management roles across the management consulting, IT services, financial services, and market research industries. Based in the U.K., he has extensive experience living and working across the U.S. and Western Europe.
