Martin Prendergast is a Senior Director in the Tech CEO practice within Gartner's HTI (High Tech & Invest) research group. Martin assists the tech CEOs of startup, growth and midsize enterprise (MSE) tech providers as they seek to realize their mission critical priorities. Martin’s interactions and research span a variety of topics including PMF realization, delivering growth, fundraising and exit strategies, financial and operational management, business and operational strategy, leadership effectiveness and go-to-market strategy / execution.
Martin has a range of experience across product and services gained from over 25 years in the IT industry. Martin's extensive leadership experience includes as a founder CEO where he successfully built the SaaS business Concorde, raising capital and leading the company through to exit by Ivanti. A COO at the VR games company nDreams, Martin worked on behalf of the investors to support the CEO and lead the repositioning of the business, enabling nDreams to raise follow on capital and achieve a significant exit to Aonic. Martin has also led the transition of the digital services company, Laduma, to product first business with strong, growing ARR. Martin has a background in project/ programme management and ITSM and has delivered projects to enterprise and public sector clients for CSC, EDS, HP, Peregrine Systems, Computacenter, SCC and Dell.
Martin has been a NED for several businesses, including the Fintech company Finverity and, in his spare time, spent several years leading London cohorts for the start-up incubator Founder Institute.
