Prashast Gupta is a Director in Gartner’s Cybersecurity insights team, specializing in producing data-driven and client-sourced best practice solutions. He helps CISOs and senior security executives make informed strategic decisions through proprietary diagnostics, survey-based insights, and evidence-backed recommendations.
He also leads the development of Gartner’s flagship cybersecurity benchmarking tools, including the Cybersecurity Business Value Benchmark, Cybersecurity Controls Assessment, and CISO Effectiveness Diagnostic. He partners with analysts across practices to design and deliver new-to-world research surveys on emerging topics such as AI risk management, machine identity in hybrid environments, and CIO–CISO partnership dynamics.
Since joining Gartner, Prashast has held multiple roles in quantitative research and analytics, driving innovation in survey design, data modeling, and product development. He has been recognized with multiple Gartner awards for thought leadership and impact.
