Bettina Tratz-Ryan is Vice President of Research, focusing on the transformative impact of digital strategy advancement through data and technologies as they relate to digital sovereignty, business and public sector resilience as well as sustainability. Her work includes research in intelligent ecosystems with a focus on digitalization strategies for smart cities and digital industry transformation. In the field of AI, Bettina provides strategic guidance to organizations and governments, enabling them to evolve their data management and data sharing practices while achieving AI sovereignty, sustainable productivity, and energy resilience. She is a recipient of multiple industry and thoughtleadership awards and was recognized in 2021 by German Handelsblatt as one of the TOP 50 Women in Tech Influencers. Beginning January 2025, Bettina will serve as an EU Climate Pact Ambassador in a volunteer capacity.
Ms. Tratz-Ryan joined Gartner with the acquisition of Northern Business Information (NBI). At NBI, she was responsible for the European residential broadband equipment and services market. Prior to joining NBI, she worked as a consultant analyst with Frost & Sullivan, where she covered video and broadband issues in the U.S. Before Frost & Sullivan, she worked at Siemens Medical Systems in Germany and in the U.S., conducting research on customer buying centers, healthcare reform, marketing strategies and customer order management.
