Brian Gagnon is a Managing Vice President for Gartner's CIO Research and Advisory practice. Mr. Gagnon supports CIOs and their leadership teams in addressing key management challenges such as digital transformation, strategic planning, talent management and operating models. Previously, he was the Principal Executive Advisor for Gartner's (CEB) Government Practice in Washington, D.C., where he advised a portfolio of U.S. and Canadian public sector CFOs and Procurement leaders on topics including data analytics, cost management, shared services and strategic supplier management. Prior to joining Gartner, he was a Consultant at CGI, a global information technology and business process outsourcing company based in the Washington, D.C. area. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy Studies and Economics from Duke University.
In his previous job, Mr. Gagnon was a Business Analyst for a major financial and cost accounting system implementation.
