Shilpa Pental is a senior researcher and conference chair within Gartner's Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team. With a focus on PMO and EPMO leadership and org design, her coverage focuses on the modernization of PMO processes and capabilities (including intake, prioritization, and value tracking) and next-generation PMO talent. Shilpa is currently leading pivotal research defining Best-in-Class PMOs and exploring the Future of PMO/EPMO. A passionate learner, Shilpa thrives on pressure-testing her research and ideas with clients and collaborating across different teams across Gartner.
Ms. Pental has an extensive background in research and leadership roles at Gartner, where she has worked with CIOs, Security & Risk Management leaders, and other IT executives. In her most recent role, she served as the Key Initiative and Content Leader for the Best-in-Class Portfolio Office, driving strategic insights and pragmatic solutions. Prior to this, she held the position of Vice President and Team Manager, where she led efforts to build and expand Peer and Practitioner Research Team focusing on project and portfolio management practices.
