OpenTelemetry
OpenTelemetry is a collection of specifications, tools, APIs and SDKs that describe and support the implementation of an open-source instrumentation and observability framework for software. The initiative, curated by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), defines three flavors of telemetry — distributed traces, metrics and logs. The specifications for the distributed tracing and metrics components have reached v.1. The specifications for logs are anticipated by end of 2022.
