As a former marketing practitioner, Sally has effectively led high-performing strategic marketing and creative teams at major corporations and served many agency-side clients. Her industry experience spans financial services, insurance, automotive, manufacturing and retail across B2B, B2C/D2C and B2B2C. Before Gartner, Sally was vice president of brand and partnership marketing at Allianz Partners. There, she built and led a B2B/B2B2C strategic brand and marketing team and an in-house B2B/B2C creative concepting team and content studio. She directed her team to create the competitive positioning and messaging for what the CEO dubbed as the Allianz Advantage leading to Allianz travel insurance becoming known as the industry gold standard as the one to beat. Before Allianz, Sally completed a short stint at Capital One to lead brand strategy efforts for the Venture travel rewards credit card, and served as senior strategist for digital marketing agency Gain, Inc. leading their largest account, Citizens Bank. Sally was vice-president/account director and brand/digital strategist at The Martin Agency, leading top-billing and creative accounts such as Champion Mortgage/KeyBank, Thomasville, Genworth, Saab USA, FMC, and Mercedes-Benz. Her early career includes 9 years in various corporate investor relations, public affairs, finance, and HR roles at a F500 conglomerate with 63 divisions.
