Summary
HR leaders must understand the unique challenges faced by underrepresented talent groups, unexamined workplace norms, a lack of workplace safety and inequitable effort recognition processes. This research presents three strategies to address these challenges.

Employees from underrepresented talent groups (e.g., racially and ethnically diverse, female, nonbinary or LGBTQ+ employees) report higher levels of unwanted talent outcomes (such as intent to leave, feelings of exclusivity and fatigue), compared to their counterparts.
Feeling pressured to conform to workplace standards of appearance and behaviors can exacerbate intent to leave the organization, feelings of exclusion and fatigue levels among racially and ethnically diverse employees.
